Mulchers BPA180/BPA220

The arm mounted mulchers are constructed in high-strength steel qualities that ensure that they can withstand the stresses they are subjected to over time. This applies to both main body, roller, and the main rotor. The hammer mounts are in 16mm toughened material with a profile that provides collision protection and helps to prevent them from deforming when the hammers are sheared off. The hull is designed so that the cavity between the hammer and the hull is at least where the mass meets the knives and if stones and foreign bodies are picked up and pass the knives, they will pass through without damaging the mulcher body. For additional wear resistance all Duun Mulchers are as standard equipped with a bolted 1,5mm Hardox® wear plate inside the hull.

The arm mounted mulchers may be delivered with robust hammers that are well suited to for a variety of mulching tasks including brush up to 80mm thickness. In this configuration the mulchers are delivered as standard with stationary cutting steel which ensure even tough material like branches etc. are mulched to small pieces.

Alternatively, they may be delivered with shackle-knives that are especially suited to roadside clearing because of their long life and reduced both chance of and consequence of damage.

BPA180 and BPA220 have powerful SPX belt drive with 4 high quality belts that can endure a high load over long time.

The arm mounted mulchers have a possible side movement of up to 1,8 meters and may be angled downwards up to 60 degrees for mulching in ditches etc, and up to 90 degrees upwards enabling mulching also on inclinations. This wide range of movement together with an incorporated flow function and large roller mean that the mulcher is able to follow the terrain very well. For instances where the mulcher snag and are forced backwards the machine is equipped with a hydraulic safety as standard allowing the driver to stop before something is broken. This safety function may as an option be coupled with a shear bolt system providing additional safety ensuring you are quickly back in operation in case of a mishap. This is a solution especially appreciated by contractors during roadside clearing.
